The December Team Sound Bath: Why the Reset Books in September

December has a scheduling paradox: it's the month teams most need an hour of rest, and the month it's hardest to find one. Between holiday parties, year-end deadlines, and everyone's PTO tetris, the wellness event that actually happens in December is the one that claimed its date in September. This is the case for booking your team's end-of-year sound bath now — and exactly how the in-office version works.

Soundawn offers sound baths in Brooklyn and Nutley, NJ, and brings on-site sessions to offices across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and North New Jersey — including for teams at Google, Meta, Audible, PayPal, Jefferies, and the Guggenheim. We've also gone considerably bigger: our practitioners opened an event at Radio City Music Hall for roughly 6,000 people.

What does a December sound bath do for a team?

It closes the year with rest instead of one more obligation. A 60-minute on-site session gives your team a genuine nervous-system reset in the middle of the most compressed month — no travel, no performance, no agenda beyond lying down. Teams use it three ways: as the calm counterpoint the week after the holiday party, as the anchor of a December wellness day, or as the final-week send-off before everyone scatters. Unlike most December events, it asks nothing of the people attending — which in December is precisely the gift.

How does an in-office sound bath work?

We come to you, fully handled from setup to breakdown. Any conference room, dining hall, or open floor space works — we need room for each person to lie down (or standard chair spacing if seated), low light, and relative quiet. We bring the crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes; mats can be provided at $7 per person if your office doesn't have them. Sessions run 60 minutes for teams of 20 to 100+, and your people return to their day noticeably softer than they left it. The full format is on our corporate sound bath page.

How much does a corporate sound bath cost?

On-site sessions are $1,050 for up to 20 participants, $1,250 for 21–40, $1,550 for 41–99, and $2,050 for 100+. For a 40-person team, that's about $31 per person for a fully delivered wellness event — less than most holiday lunch budgets. Hybrid streaming adds $350 flat: we bring the mic and streaming setup, and remote teammates join the same live session over Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams — so a hybrid team of 60 with streaming lands at $1,550 + $350. Fully remote team instead? A virtual sound bath starts at $500.

What do you wear at a sound bath?

Whatever you can fully relax in — and for office sessions, whatever people wore to work that day is fine. Encourage layers (body temperature drops during deep rest), suggest people skip the stiff blazer for the hour, and that's the entire dress code. This is worth telling your team in the invite: the moment people learn there's nothing to change into, buy, or prepare, attendance jumps. The only real equipment is a place to lie down, and we handle that.

When should you book a December session?

September or early October — first pick of December dates goes to whoever emails first, and mid-December afternoons are the first to go once holiday calendars solidify. Booking now also lets you put the session on team calendars with months of notice, which is what turns an optional wellness event into a full room. Many of our corporate clients pair the booking with their holiday gift card order — one email locks the team's December reset and the client thank-yous together.

FAQs

How many people can join an on-site session?
From 20 to 100+ — pricing tiers cover up to 20 ($1,050), 21–40 ($1,250), 41–99 ($1,550), and 100+ ($2,050).

What does the office need to provide?
A clear, quiet room with low light and space to lie down. We bring everything else; mats are available at $7 per person if needed.

Can remote teammates join an in-office session?
Yes — hybrid streaming is $350 flat, and nothing changes about the in-room experience; remote folks are simply brought into it live.

Is December too late to book a December session?
Usually — the good dates go in September and October. If you're reading this in December, ask anyway, and consider a January reset: burnout doesn't check the calendar.
