From Mental Health Day to the Holidays: A Virtual Reset Your Whole Team Can Join
The last quarter of the year asks the most of every team — deadlines compress, calendars fill, and the same season that's supposed to be celebratory is the one where burnout quietly peaks. That's why the stretch from World Mental Health Day (October 10) through the December holidays has become our busiest virtual season: companies want wellness moments that include everyone, wherever they work, and a live virtual sound bath is one of the few that genuinely does.
Soundawn offers sound baths in Brooklyn and Nutley, NJ, and hosts live virtual sessions from our Brooklyn studio for remote and hybrid teams nationwide. Here's how the season maps out — and how to get your team's dates before the calendar wins.
How does a virtual sound bath work for a remote team?
Your team joins a scheduled video call — Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams — and we perform the session live from our Brooklyn studio: seven crystal singing bowls, a 19-inch deep gong, ocean sound waver, chimes, and guided breathwork, streamed in real time. It's never a recording, which is exactly why it works: the session is shaped to your group, people can arrive with their cameras off and their shoulders up, and thirty minutes later the whole team has shared the same hour of rest across five time zones. Headphones help, but nobody needs equipment, experience, or floor space — a desk chair works fine. If you're booking for Mental Health Day week specifically, our last-call guide covers that window in detail; because October 10 falls on a Saturday, most companies are holding sessions October 5–9.
How much does a virtual sound bath for a team cost?
$500 flat for a 30-minute session or $750 flat for a 60-minute session, both for teams up to 50 people — no per-head pricing. Larger groups of 51–100 run $1,050 for 60 minutes, and we host 100+ regularly (our largest gatherings have reached the hundreds). For companies that want the habit rather than the one-off, the Quarterly Reset bundles four 30-minute sessions for $1,800. Many teams book through employee wellness stipends and L&D budgets — full details on our virtual sound bath page.
Can people with epilepsy do sound baths?
Generally yes, with a doctor's okay — sound baths involve sustained, gradual tones rather than strobing lights or sudden stimuli, but anyone with a sound- or startle-sensitive condition should check with their physician first, and we're glad to adapt a session's dynamics (softer gong swells, gentler transitions) when an organizer lets us know. This matters for workplace bookings: an inclusive wellness event is one where nobody has to opt out quietly. Pregnant participants and hearing-aid users join regularly; the beauty of the virtual format is that everyone also controls their own volume.
Why book December virtual gatherings now?
Because December is when distributed teams try to gather at all, and the good slots go to whoever asked in September. A virtual sound bath has become a favorite anchor for remote holiday gatherings — it works alongside a delivered lunch or a year-end toast, it includes the teammates who never make the in-person party, and it sends everyone into the break actually rested. Teams at Google, Meta, Audible, PayPal, and Jefferies have brought us in for exactly these moments, and the Tory Burch Foundation hosted us for a 250-person gathering. Early December afternoons are the first slots to disappear; booking in September or October means choosing your date rather than accepting one.
What does the organizer need to do?
Send a calendar invite — that's nearly the whole job. Tell us your date, team size, and platform; we handle the run-of-show, an intro for first-timers, and the session itself. If your team is NYC-based and you'd rather gather in person, we also bring on-site sessions to offices, and gift cards make an easy year-end thank-you for individual teammates.
